Main purpose of this trip is to relax, makan and finally only photography. Only took 4 lenses with me - 50mm, 80-200mm and Tokina 11-16mm and 18-70mm.

Macro Test 2

Minus the focus this time, was a bit blur today doing this test as I just recover from fever, flu, sore throat and cough.

Issue with marco using prime lens together with Nikon macro adapter ring are

1) I can only used manual focus
2) lens are fully expose without filter protection
3) aperture need to set at the min f-stop num allowing more light to pass through the lens.
4) I cant get f-stop number reading at my camera as the lens is reverse. I need to turn the dial at the lens for f-stop number change.

As for people who has budget buying a macro lens this is a best way to work but this Nikon adapter works only with 52mm diameter lenses.

just the 35mm lens along result also quite impressive for macro but not as good as Tammy lah!

That's all for this test. Well at least get something out from this test and now will sell away my Nikon Macro adapter ring for RM70 since I already have a special dedicated macro lens.

Crazy Over Prime Lens

My recent trip to Hong Kong I bought a 35mm f2 at a very reasonable price, RM1080 with Hoya Pro 1 52mm filters. Been reading about this lens and till I tried I was amazed over the result if compare to my 50mm f1.8. On the LCD screen its much sharper. You might need to click on the photos to see the full size.

And if anyone is going to HK and plan to buy lenses or camera can consider these 2 shops, Ting Chung and Wing Shing. They are the reliable one! Also please do ask prices between water set or ori set.

Tried to find the adapter to use both my Contax Carl Zeiss Planar T 85mm F1.4 and Contax Carl Zeiss Distagon 28mm f2 at HK but the adapter doesnt seem to work tell with my Nikon.

Sample of photo using Nikon and 28mm Carl Zeiss lens with an adapter. On viewfinder it looks sharp but after snapping it, this is the result. Reason due to the adapter has a glass.

And now im over craz with prime lens. Been doing some R and D to upgrade or add more lenses to my collection and they are:

2) Nikon 20mm f2.8 RM1995 (shashinki) 2nd value is RM1400
3) Nikon 85 mm f1.8D RM1435 (venus) 2nd hand value will cost RM1100 PROJECT COMPLETED
